2017 programme has been added

The Bath Guild of Embroiderers are a friendly and welcoming group who all have a love of needle and thread in a variety of forms.

We cover traditional and modern embroidery, both hand and machine work including beading, goldwork, patchwork and stumpwork.

We are a mix of amateur and semi-professional stitchers of all skill levels.

We welcome new members from experienced stitchers to beginners and especially all those who "used to stitch" but have gone rusty and would like to start again.

We meet approximately once a month and try to vary the day to give everyone an opportunity to attend. The meetings are a variety of Day Schools, Workshops and Lectures plus an annual Christmas Lunch.

At the Day Schools we have tutors who teach a variety of embroidery related skills and throughout the year we hope to have something to inspire and interest everyone.

The Workshops are a social occasion where everyone takes their own work and has a chance to get to know other members, share ideas and get help with problems.

We meet from 10.00 to 16.00 in the Wansdyke Room at Saltford Community Hall. This is just off the A4 and is well signed. It is convenient to reach from Bath, Bristol or the surrounding area and has plenty of parking.

We have a triennial exhibition of members work and this is usually held in central Bath. The last one was held in 2012. A selection of the work displayed can be seen using the 2012 Exhibition tab above.
